Pigeon and pest bird control that lasts
Greyman OPS removes problem pigeons and Indian mynas from commercial, industrial and government sites. We remove the birds already there, then proof the building so they do not come back. Pigeon droppings are acidic and corrosive, they block gutters and drains, contaminate stock and equipment, and can carry parasites and disease. That is a cost to your building and a risk to your people.
We hold CASA ReOC (CASA.ReOC.9077), $20m public liability and $2m professional indemnity insurance, and we work after hours or during shutdowns so your operation keeps running.
Our bird control methods
Precision shooting with thermal-scoped air rifles
For flocks living inside hangars, warehouses and sheds we use adjustable-power precision air rifles with thermal scopes. Thermal optics let us find roosting birds in roof cavities and beams at night, and adjustable power means no damage to roofing, cladding, aircraft or equipment. This is how we cleared a resident pigeon flock from aircraft hangars for Brisbane Aviation Services (see the testimonial below).
Proofing and exclusion
Once the resident birds are gone we close the building: bird netting, spikes and wire systems on ledges and beams, and sealing of entry points, vents and gaps. Proofing is what makes the result last.
Deterrents
Where full proofing is not practical we add deterrents such as visual and audio deterrents, ledge treatments and habitat changes (removing food, water and nesting sites) to make the site unattractive to birds.
Pigeon baiting and culling
For larger or hard-to-reach flocks we run pigeon baiting and culling programs alongside shooting, using approved products and methods under the relevant Queensland approvals, with controls in place to protect non-target and native birds.
Monitoring and follow-up
We return to check proofing and remove any new arrivals before they settle, and we report back with photos and numbers removed.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do you remove pigeons from a hangar, warehouse or mill?
We combine precision shooting with thermal-scoped air rifles to remove the resident flock, then proof the building (netting, spikes, sealing entry points) and add deterrents so new birds do not move in. Shooting is done after hours or during shutdowns under the required licences and approvals.
Is shooting pigeons with air rifles safe inside a building?
Yes, when it is done by trained operators. We use adjustable-power precision air rifles fitted with thermal scopes, set the power to avoid damage to roofing, cladding and equipment, and run every job to a site-specific safety plan agreed with your site manager.
Do you use baiting or trapping for pigeons?
Yes. As well as precision shooting, proofing and deterrents, we run pigeon baiting and culling programs, using approved products and methods under the relevant Queensland approvals and to a site-specific safety plan.
Can you control Indian mynas?
Yes. We run Indian myna programs for councils, businesses and property owners across Brisbane and SE Qld, using trapping and precision air-rifle control for larger populations. See Indian myna control.
Can you remove swallows* or crows*?
Welcome swallows* and Torresian crows* are native and protected in Queensland. We manage them with proofing, deterrents and nest-season planning, and carry out lethal control or nest removal where justified under the relevant permit. *Relevant Permit required to be issued from Regulator prior to any control activities. See swallow* & crow* management.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Brisbane and work across SE Qld, including Hemmant, Wynnum, Wacol, Brisbane Airport, the Port of Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Larger programs run state-wide on request.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Greyman OPS holds CASA ReOC (CASA.ReOC.9077), $20m public liability and $2m professional indemnity insurance. Firearms and air-rifle work is done under the relevant Queensland licences and approvals.
Testimonials
What our clients say
“Greyman OPS have been performing 6-weekly pigeon control services to our airline hangars for several years and we are very happy with the results. We had significant issues with pigeon waste on our aviation engineers’ tools and our parts, causing damage to paint and corrosion, as well as health risk to our team. Greyman OPS conducted initial intensive precision pigeon shoots to remove the resident birds, so we get them back every 4–6 weeks with their thermal scoped air rifles to make sure no more get established. Management and Engineers are really happy with the results.”
